E, EW, EI – what do the fire classes mean and how do you choose the right one?
E = stops flames and hot gases. EW = stops flames and limits radiant heat. EI = stops flames and insulates against heat. The numbers (30, 60, 90, 120) indicate how many minutes the construction withstands fire.
